Action On Energy

The aims of this project are: - To slash the energy consumption and associated carbon emmissions of the Centre by installing modern high efficiency condensing gas boilers as part of an overall energy efficiency programme - To reduce the risk of unplanned emergency closure of the Centre by replacing the 35 year old boilers with 2 modern efficient condensing gas boilers, connected in a duel header and controlled in such a way that failure of a single boiler will not result in closure of the Centre - To demonstrate to our large user community the impact that energy-saving measures have on our energy bills and carbon emissions, so that by example, we encourage others to implement similar energy reduction measures in their own homes - To safeguard the long-term future of the Centre as a community resource by cutting the running costs - To increase community use of the building by improving temperature control and creating a more comfortable environment for a wide range of users.
