Actions for Wood Pasture in the Lower Dales of Dumfries and Galloway

The project aims to promote sustainable management of wood pasture, an LBAP habitat that has evolved over time producing a distinct mix of old and veteran trees in a grassland setting. This project will create a unique scheme, through partnership working between conservation organisations and landowners, producing demonstration sites, training events and direct action on farms. Objectives of the project include developing management plans, implementing practical work such as fencing and tree planting and increasing access and public awareness of this LBAP habitat
