ADAM SMITH – CONTINUING THE LEGACY

We aim to provide an International Adam Smith Visitor Centre based within a currently derelict listed building which will be central to the wider regeneration of Kirkcaldy’s Merchants Quarter and Waterfront development. Funding of approximately £550K for the restoration of the building which will house the Visitor Centre has been secured. In order to ensure safe and barrier free public access to the restored Visitor Centre, the historic Adam Smith Close also needs to be restored. The Adam Smith Close will be the sole access to the Visitor Centre and will, when complete, provide an integral part of the Adam Smith legacy.
