Additional Room, Toilets, Kitchenette and Access

The project is to convert the loft space above the Committee Room and Kitchen into an additional room. To make the room large enough for the likely users, it has to extend out over the access to the Bowling Green, tight up to the tennis courts and pavilion. The room needs to operate without affecting the other users, so it will have its own toilets, kitchenette and access. The project is in response to growing numbers of inquiries for weekly use of a room for clubs, exercise groups, tuition classes, mother and baby classes, crafts, hobbies, etc. During 2022 ten of these inquiries could not be accommodated. The situation is getting worse. Also, the Preschool needs another room where they can cater for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Some users of the Main Hall could use a smaller room if that room were available all year round. The Main Hall could then be used by others. However, the Bowling Club’s daily use of the Committee Room during the Bowling Season has prevented this.
