Adult Outdoor Gym Installation, Greenstead Green and Halstead Rural Parish Council, Colchester

This project is to install outdoor gym equipment for adults at the Grange Hill Playing Field.

Greenstead Green and Halstead Rural Parish Council wish to install six pieces of outdoor gym equipment for adults in the Grange Hill Playing Field to encourage residents to exercise and become healthier both in body and mind. It will widen the appeal of the playing field and give adults something to do while their children are playing on the other play equipment.

The equipment will hopefully lead to a healthier and happier community. Encouraging adults to exercise in the outdoors which has been proven to be beneficial for mental health. This is also one of Essex County Council’s ‘Everyone’s Essex’ 20 commitments 2021-25 promoting health, care, and wellbeing for all ages.
