Affinity Ponds – Habitat Restoration

Ruislip Moor is an open area of Moorland adjacent to Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve. The moor is one of the few places in London which has all the 4 of the widely distributed reptiles ( slow worms, common lizard, adders and grass snakes) and Great Crested Newts. The ponds, where the Great Crested Newts live, are badly in need of habitat restoration, which includes clearing over growing trees, to let light back into the bond area to enhance and enrich the habitat and water.
