Aghalee Village Hall – Energy Efficiency and Upgrade

An energy audit and as a result the group want to create new energy efficient measures ranging from: a new boiler, install PV units to reduce electrical costs and reduce their CO2 footprint along with providing a small annual income from ROCS payments and selling electricity back to the grid. There are still some single glazed window units in the older part of the hall and they will replace these with sympathetic double glazed units, again to help improve energy efficiency. To complete the energy efficiency measures, they will also improve draft proofing around a few main doors. The will also replace the existing notice-boards. The notice-board is no longer weatherproof but it is really needed to advertise what goes on at the hall and to advertise new courses, classes and clubs. They also want to place another notice-board in the village close to the local shop.
