Ainsley Community Park

This project will transform an uninteresting and underused playing field into a wildlife haven and leisure facility for local people.

Wildlife habitats will be created, to encourage wider species of insects and birds into the space. Areas of informal natural play will be created, to support active and imaginative play opportunities for children. This will include the creation of mounding and natural play equipment.

New footpaths will also be created, enabling people of all ages and abilities to gain access around the site.

Finally, the existing football field will be re-graded and re-seeded, as the existing surface is uneven and unsuitable for playing sports.

Project approved for up to 84% of the total Project Cost.
