Ainsworth Delph Park – Amenity Improvement

Ainsworth Delph in Church St was a former quarry that has been filled in and grassed over. It is maintained by Bury MBC, who have agreed to this improvement. We seek to improve the value of this parkland by constructing a 500m perimeter pathway using recycled road planings, installing 3 park benches, and seeding the bank side with meadow flowers. We expect this to encourage much more use of this facility, which is currently poorly drained. The work will be carried out by Probation Service youths under “Community Payback”, together with local volunteers.
