Alexandra Park, Hastings – Conservation Area Improvements (1788/D)

The project aims to progress conservation projects in the Park including Shorndean Meadow Conservation Area. Instigate a management regime aimed at increasing the floral diversity as well as the planting of mixed native hedges also providing nesting sites, food and protection for birds. the aquatic habitats will be enhanced through marginal vegetation planting at present none exists. Shorndean Meadow funds will be used for tree works and tree planting, fencing, site interpretation and notices, pond creation and marginal planting.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the conservation area improvements.
