All Access Path, Phase Two – Astley Park Trail, Chorley

After the success of creating the perimeter circular walk around the historic park in 2020, the trail needs to become fully accessible as there are two sections that are impassable by mobility scooters and wheelchairs and difficult to negotiate with pushchair and buggies. The works to improve the trail will see a bypass created around a stepped woodland dell, new graded path to bypass a set of steps and improvement to a link path accessing into the park. In all 350mtr of path will be improved/created.
