All Saints Church Leamington – Repairs

The works comprise high level masonry repairs to the tower where there is serious delamination and some water ingress, areas of repointing, installation of window guards, minor glazing repairs, minor plaster repairs other minor repairs. The works are partly funded by a grant from English Heritage. The General masonry work primarily involves the conservation repair of the upper stages of the tower masonry and repointing works elsewhere around the church. The general principle of the stonework repairs is that of minimum disruption. Only the most severely decayed stones will be replaced, localised consevation works will be undertaken to exfoliating surfaces and first aid pinning and mortar repairs to less decayed stones. Allow for undertaking stonework repairs as detailed on the relevant elevational, detailed drawings and within this written specification and Schedule. The grant is for £19,500 towards the repair of the church tower, lead work and rainwater goods.
