Allesley Park Evangelical Church, Coventry – Landscaping and Play Space (40350/D)

The project aims to create an external space that is multifunctional, one that can be used by all ages and capability. The area is currently overgrown with weeds that very quickly took hold of the areas that had been disturbed as a result of the ground works necessary during the building works. Our aim is to create a safe place for children to play outside, something that is encouraged by Government and health and social professionals alike. We want the same area to also be used as an outside seating area for the adult groups that we have using our building on weekdays. Primarily members of the local community that attend the Coffee Morning on a Tuesday will also use it for seating and social interaction. The space will be multifunctional. We plan to have it created using a firm base with artificial turf as this will help keep the area clean and firm so that there are not trip slip or fall hazards.
