Allithwaite Community Pumptrack

Build a community bike pumptrack in Allithwaite near Grange over Sands. Pumptracks are growing massively in popularity, they are an exciting and inclusive way to exercise and improve skills. In 2013 local volunteers created a small pumptrack in a corner of the Allithwaite Community Playing Fields and Community Centre site. This initial track has been enjoyed by at least 50 riders a week, however, the community has requested the facility be enhanced to further increase usage and improve the facility for current users. The project designs are for a far superior facility including an all-weather tarmac surface which will be suitable for riders of all ages and abilities. Young People and their development are at the core of enhancing the Allithwaite pumptrack. This inclusive facility, which will be open to all, all year round, meets the needs of the Allithwaite and the surrounding rural community.
