Projects / Alpraham play area

Alpraham play area

The project aims to install an outdoor play area on Alpraham Village Green. Works include the supply and installation of play equipment for children up to 11 years old on a new play area situated on Alpraham Village Green located behind the Village Hall. The play area would be approximately 28m by 12m in size (3D visual design uploaded). The play area will comprise 9 items of play equipment (e.g. 2 basket swings, jigsaw tower with slide, timber adventure trail, tractor spring rider, 4 totem poles, bug hotel, motor play panel, and a noughts and crosses playboard). The play area will have a grassed mat surface, 2 swing closing gates, contain 3 park benches, and be surrounded by a 1m high palisade picket fence. The height and type of equipment proposed means safety rubber flooring is not required; natural grass will grow through mesh. Alpraham nor Calveley have a public play area and there are no other comparable facilities within safe walking distance. Therefore, the new play area will reduce the need to travel by car to others in Bunbury, Tarporley and/or Eaton, thereby creating a facility for future generations of children up to 11 years old living in the parishes to play, learn and socialise outside all year round.
