Alterations to Entrance Porch, Decorations, Safety and Draught Exclusion

The entrance porch to the church is not wide enough to allow easy access for a funeral cortege and at such a time of mourning it is an embarrassment and discourtesy to the family and friends of the deceased. Widening the inner porch doors would also help access for the disabled. It would facilitate the movement of wedding processions etc. It would aid heat retention and keep the church warmer. We would also like to install hand rails round the altar and pulpit for safety reasons.
