Alton Cricket Club - All Weather Nets and Practice Facility

The project is for the provision of 4 lanes of cricket nets, in total 35m x 16m, fully side and roof netted, surrounded by a weldmesh security fence with an access gate allowing wheelchair entry, from a path extension from the existing. The playing surface of the 16m x 16m batting ends will be of particularly high quality to give the correct consistency of speed and bounce, and only need minimum maintenance at long intervals. The 19m x16m bowling ends will be a general purpose playing surface suitable for most sports. When used for other sports a net will be drawn across the batting ends and for games like soccer or hockey, low-level boards will be attached around the four sides.
