Alverthorpe Revival of the Phoenix

Replacement of existing heating with a more energy efficient system – The existing system runs from a large single boiler through very old wide bore pipes. There are no proper controls and no ability to hear the individual zones within centre. There is no loft or other insulation in the building and as a result heating costs are excessive. The aim is to fit two linked, smaller, efficient boilers. One will run the playgroup’s section of the building and the other the community part. Each will have room thermostats and be properly zoned so that only the required rooms are heated. This, along with the loft, wall and under floor insulation, will dramatically reduce heating costs and in turn reduce the carbon footprint and running costs.
