Amber catchment restoration at Brookside Farm

The River Amber has suffered neglect, resulting in poor water quality and degraded habitat. At Brookside Farm, we propose to tackle issues of cattle trampling and siltation, the main causes of water degradation which are detrimental to fish spawning and the white-clawed crayfish, a BAP species. Volunteers will remove the invasive balsam from the riverside here and carry out conservation activities (surveying) to benefit native species.
