Amenity Tree planting

West Lothian Golfclub have made an application which proposes to improve the use of the new core path network for all types of users. The increase in amenity will be achieved by the use of screen planting of indigenous trees of local provenance. This will offer path users a safer and more secluded environment to enjoy. The proposed planting as shown on the plan will offer a diversity in both species, and the age of the trees due to the richness of the existing forestry stock, which this scheme sets out to complement.

The existing planting has enjopyed the arrival of many wildlife species such as Buzzard, Peregrine, Owl, Badger, hare and deer. This diversity is a clear indication of the success that this project will see, and the added value that it represents as an amenity to both humans and to wildlife.
