Anglesey Water Vole Project

The overall objective of the project is to conserve the water vole on Anglesey – which is one of the strongholds of water voles in the UK. Specific objectives are, survey and monitor the population of water voles and riparian habitat quality, implement a series of habitat improvement project, monitor for the presence of American mink on Anglesey and introduce control measures where appripriate, raise public awareness through interpretation material and events
