Angus Barn Owl Project

The Farmland and Upland Working Group of Tayside Biodiversity Partnership proposed project to erect 30 Barn Owl nesting boxes over a three year period with each box being monitored for three years after erection. All chicks identified during the project will be ringed and monitored in the future. Littlewood Land Care will identify sites across Angus based on ten years of previous habitat surveys undertaken by themselves and liase with land managers as required. The focus for the work will be the corridor of the River South Esk as a designated SAC and extremely important wildlife corridor within the county of Angus
