Appleton Thorn Village Hall – Septic Tank and Toilet Refurbishment

Located beneath our community building is a twin septic tank system which must be regularly emptied as it’s unable to cope with the demands of Hall Users and forms “ponds” of foul waste water in the field. The project is to replace this with a new combined sewer & upgrade the toilets when complete.

The maintenance required by the existing system is putting excessive strain on our team of volunteers (e.g. emptying the tank before every event) and costs us a lot of money which could be put to better use on community projects and Hall upkeep. The project will also allow the grounds to be used without being surrounded by foul odour.
