Ardrossan Beach Award

The local community of Ardrossan and Saltcoats are keen to achieve European Union Yellow Flag status for the beach at South Crescent and to promote it’s use by: –
Design and erection of signage to identify; safe bathing and paddling areas; water quality information; life saving equipment; First Aid; Rescue Services; litter awareness; seating and other local information.
This information will link into information on local walking and cycle routes; the 3 Town’s (Ardrossan, Saltcoats & Stevenston) “Healthy Living Project” and North Ayrshire Council’s “ Access for All” policy.
Compliance also requires the erection of a flagpole and provision of life saving equipment.
