Aryse, COGS Prepares 4 Life, Burntwood, West Midlands

This is a project to fund equipment which will be used to maintain and develop the recreation ground and the multisports facilities at Burntwood Youth Centre in Burntwood, West Midlands. Cherry Orchard Garden Services (COGS) is a Community Interest Company which undertakes grounds maintenance for a number of charitable groups locally. It offers a scheme for people with a learning disability that links learning and working to help people towards employment. Many of the people who are a part of COGS either struggled at school/college or have found classroom learning inappropriate. Since taking over the lease of the premises and grounds of the former Burntwood Youth Centre COGS has been in the process of upgrading the playing field providing a pocket park, parkour facility, and undertaking sports programmes in and outside the ‘Open House’ complex.
