Ashampstead – Recreation Ground Play Equipment

Replacement of dangerous playground equipment surrounds with non-slip Astrotur. Ashampstead is a small village with a population of 350 and the recreation ground is managed by the Ashampstead Recreational Trust, whose funds are limited. The recreational ground has swings, roundabout, slide and see-saw surrounded by rubber tiles which are very dangerous when wet and have lichen growing on them. The tiles are very slippery to the point that both children and parents can fall over onto the play equipment and hurt themselves.
