ASHING LANE NATURE RESERVE, DUNHOLME, LINCOLNSHIRE

The LWT already owns the freehold and manages two reserves ‘Pickering’s Meadow’ and ‘Watts Wood’ situated adjacent to Ashing Lane, east of Dunholme. The meadow is 2.8ha and the wood is 3ha. The project is for the LWT to purchase the freehold of 19.27ha of adjacent land, and to lease for 125 years an area of 15ha to the Nettleham Woodland Trust for a nominal rent. The LWT will establish two new meadows to the east of Pickering’s Meadow. NWT will establish the new ‘Monks Wood’.
