ASPIRE

Aspire is involved in the regeneration of Byker, with a focus on St. Michael’s Parish Church. The church is sited in the middle of Byker but is currently in a state of disrepair. It is a constituted voluntary group with 12 members on the management committee. The group has run community events and festivals. The church received a £150,000 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund for Phase 1 of the development, mainly for high level repairs.
