Astroturf Pitch Replacement Project

We intend to spend the contributions of £50,000 from Suez towards the cost of replacing the carpet surface of the astroturf pitch to prevent it closing to community clubs and hirers due to the deteriorating quality of the existing pitch.

The last pitch replacement took place in 2007 and on average a pitch of this nature lasts 8 years. A replacement surface is critical to maintain availability of the pitch for the next 8 years and beyond.

We have had a pitch inspection report from a local sports surfaces provider which indicates the scope of works required as part of this project.
