Attachments for a Tractor at Four Seasons Nature Study Centre, Combined Handicapped and Disabled Society, nr Rugeley

This is a project to fit a front-end loader with attachments to a second-hand tractor, the purchase of which was part-funded by Cory Environmental Trust in Britain (148702.023) in 2008. The tractor was purchased to tow a mobile bird-hide, which enables less able visitor to visit parts of the reserve which would not be possible otherwise. This element of the project has been very successful, however the tractor’s capacity to undertake management of the Centre’s meadows is limited owing to the need for a front-end loader to lift and move heavy ‘haylage’.
