Auchinlea Park – Green Gym

The proposed works shall see improvements to a number of public greenspaces in the North East area of Glasgow with the main focus being at Auchinlea Park. These works will be delivered through the Green Gym Model employing a Project Officer to create a number of Green Gyms. TCV (The Conservation Volunteers) and Glasgow City Council are working together to help residents in the North East area to become healthier while improving the local environment.The Green Gym is the brainchild of TCV and focuses on healthy people and healthy places. Green Gym volunteers meet up to work together on improving local green spaces. Activities such as pond management, habitat creation, woodland management and access improvements aim to help improve fitness while providing opportunities to learn new skills and meet new people in a friendly outdoor setting.
