Avon Grasslands Project

This project is part of the South West Wildlife Trust’s Living Landscapes Initiative, which aims to restore and connect areas of priority habitat throughout the South West. It will work in 18 Strategic Nature Areas within Avon and focus on habitats for which the South West region is important in a national context.

The SNAs selected include lowland calcareous grassland, neutral grassland and woodland set within an agricultural landscape, and the emphasis will be to maintain, restore and create species rich grassland.
