Avonmouth Community Centre Association - Additional accessible toilet

We would spend the grant on converting an under used space which is currently the cleaners cupboard into a unisex accessible toilet. Currently due to the configuration of the building the toilets are only accessible from the library and the art room by going through the hall. This limits our ability to let either space at the same time or when the library is open. Converting this space in to a toilet would mean that this end of the building could operate independently also improving access to the toilet for library users. We are also going to undertake work which will make our garden area more accessible to the public and this work would mean that an accessible toilet could be more easily accessed from the garden area. Although this is a stand alone project it is work which will also be part of extensive refurbishment. Having a toilet at this end of the building would mean that we would be able to be open while extensive work takes place.
