Awash With Wildlife – Ouse Washes

This forms part of a wider project, ‘Awash With Wildlife’, to safeguard and improve key areas of floodplain grazing marsh at two Wildlife Trust nature reserves in Cambridgeshire. The wider project will protect these habitats for breeding waders, internationally important populations of wintering wildfowl and other UK BAP species. This project will improve the habitats at the Ouse Washes for the benefit of wildlife and will be guided by species surveys. We will repair boardwalks, which enable disabled access, fencing, which was damaged by flooding, and bird hides. New interpretation boards will be provided explaining the importance of the habitats.
