Aylsham Parish Room Heritage Centre

This project is phase 2 of creating a community Heritage Centre in the heart of Aylsham, bringing back into use the Parish Room, a disused 19th century flint and timber building. It will provide an up-to-date venue in the town for use by residents in the town, and surrounding villages, and for visitors. It restores a building, with a long history of community functions in various forms, back to community use. Its central purpose will be to provide a readily accessible venue for researching details of the town’s history, its special features and family histories. These to support school curricula. In addition it will provide a specialized but flexible venue for other activities by groups, associations, schools.
