B2E (Back 2 Eden) Project

The Withywood Centre is a new community facility is South Bristol. When the building was developed it was anticipated that some of the ground around the building would be used by the Centre as a community facility. To that end we have assembled a group of dedicated people headed by a volunteer who call themselves the B2E project. They have taken the ideas and requests from consultations with the community in forward planning for the area. The aim is to create four very different areas of outside space for use by the community. These are:

Stage 1
The Memorial Garden- a peaceful, tranquil place to sit and reflect.
The Community Courtyard- a paved area with raised beds, seating and BBQ area, providing an informal leisure space that will compliment the use fo the building for community events.

Stage 2
The Playzone- an area for children to play outside in an area protected from vandalism.
The Kitchen Garden- will have raised beds and paved access to grow herbs and vegetables.
