B82 Cycle path from Trory roundabout to St. Michael’s Church of Ireland

The B82 is a class B road which traverses in a north westerly direction, along the northern shores of Lower Lough Erne, from the Trory roundabout in the townland of Trory to the village of Kesh. The B82 is approximately 11 miles long. There are a number of significant tourist and landscape features and amenities located alongside this road and consequently numbers of tourists in the area especially cyclists are significantly increasing on an annual basis. It is therefore proposed to construct a 500m long cycle path leading from the Trory roundabout to St. Michael’s Church of Ireland building. The aim of this project is to provide an alternative route via which both visitors and locals can access these areas of the County and the facilities and amenities it contains. If this project is successful it is proposed, at a later stage, to extend this cycle lane further to St. Angelo airport.
