Badger Recreation Ground, Chesterfield – Play Space

To replace a worn out and dated play area with a new modern play space with equipment for use by all age groups and children with disabilities. Badger Rec is the only green space with a play area within easy reach of young people which is vital for their health and well being. The existing play area is over 20 years old and has had to be removed on grounds of health and safety. There are a high percentage of children and young people in an area of high density housing. The play area is situated in one of the top 40% most deprived wards in the UK
