Balcurive Footpath Improvement Scheme

This project proposes to realign and upgrade a 500m section of path on the edge of Balcurive to provide a 2m wide surface suitable for people of all abilities, bikes and horses all year round.

The path forms an important off-road link between Balcurive and Markinch. Whilst much of the route is of a good standard, the first 500m of the path at Balcurive has always been narrow, wet and difficult to use. This work will vastly improve the path for all users and in particular allow the drainage issues to be resolved to the benefit of all users.
