Ballydonaghy Sustainable Solutions

The proposed project involves upgrading an outdated and inefficient heating system, the installation of solar panels, storage cupboards, a bin store, some plumbing works and the refurbishment of the training area. The hall was built in the 1970’s and the heating system is now outdated and inefficient. it is an electric heating system using a series of conducting panel heaters which over time has deteriorated and the current control system is not working. This results in expensive electricity bills and discourages users from having a comfortable experience as it can be too cold. Solar panel installation will reduce costs and increase sustainability. The other element of the project is to relocate and upgrade the storage area currently sited within the training/meeting room to enable more space as well as relocating the bins (currently within the same room) outside to a safe and secure space.
