Barlow Moor Community Association, Manchester – Air Conditioning and Decorating Project (7265)

The community centre is a hub for local people, with multiple groups using the services, activities and facilities daily. The building is glass fronted and south facing ,and the windows don’t open. In summer months, the indoor temperature can reach 30 degrees or more. This leads to people being uncomfortable, feeling unwell, and less likely to engage in activities that benefit their health and well-being. This project will result in the installation of air conditioning and redecoration of communal areas which will make the centre more comfortable and attractive to centre users.
