Barnard Castle TIC Landscaping

This planting scheme is within a park approx .5 acre and also in the grounds of the Tourist Information Centre and links in with a much larger scheme which is part of the second phase of the Barnard Castle Environmental Improvements.

The planting scheme would link with this paving work providing shrubs along the pathway leading up to the Tourist Information Centre. It would provide an aromatic planting area next to the seating area where people can relax, enjoy themselves and take advantage of the setting and views. It would also include traditional herbaceous planting ie establishing what was once originally there. The area will be used by the whole community; local residents, traders, visitors and tourists. It will improve their visit to the area and help provide a positive image of Barnard Castle.
