Barnes Community Association - Thames Towpath Landscaping Improvements

To improve the access from Jubilee Gardens to the River by providing a new, step free, access from the gardens to the river that will allow users with buggies, wheelchairs and mobility scooters to easily access the Towpath in a safe manner. Views will be opened up and new furniture and planting provided. Project will include the following: - Provision of a 2.5m wide pathway between The Leg of Mutton reservoir and Hammersmith Bridge and Hammersmith Bridge to Putney Bridge, - Install signage which will give priority to walkers and discourage cyclists, - Install new seating, - Introduce a wildflower meadow to increase biodiversity in the area. VC Funding is requested towards the Wildflower Meadow, interpretation material and the pathways.
