Barrington Community Sport and Growing hub

Barringtons Fields is a former sport hub that is in the process of being brought back into use as a unique sports and growing hub run by the local community through an elected management committee. Located in Manor Park E12 there are no other similar structured opportunities and activities. The project offers a unique combination of sports and growing with a view to: 1. Ensuring that all land is brought back into use and fully utilised positively and constructively 2. Enhancing the link between growing and cooking healthy food, sports, diet, exercise and good health within the one project 3. Utilising the mediums of growing and sports to increase: I. Awareness of food growing, healthy eating and good health II. The number of individuals actively involved in growing activities/opportunities and exercise III. Community cohesion and cross culture activities and understanding/respect
