Barwick-in-Elmet Tennis Club Improvements

Barwick-in-Elmet Tennis Club was set up to serve the village by making three tennis courts available to members and the wider community.

The boundary to the rear of the courts is approximately 100m long with netting on top of a sloping bank. This is damaged in several places, resulting in lost balls and, on occasion, balls bouncing back on to the court creating hazards.

The project involves landscaping the banking, replacing the netting so that it is more practical and easier to maintain, and converting an area of land at the back of the courts into a grassed area.
