Beacon Community Church Community Centre Refurbishment

The Community Centre is a well used community facility, hosting a number of local groups and activities which mainly have a strong community, health/well-being focus.

However, the building itself is 190 years old and in urgent need of safety work and upgrade. This project provides for a full refurbishment of the centre including removal of a suspended ceiling, securing and insulating the original apexed ceiling, rewiring and lighting and improving the overall thermal efficiency of the centre with modern insulation and a new, efficient heating system. This modernisation will hugely improve the ambiance and welcome of the setting. LCF monies are being applied towards these costs.

The project also reflects user needs for increased storage space and flexibility, replacing broken room dividing doors with modern, lightweight easily operable ones.
