Beaumont Park Woodlands: Habitat and Access Improvements

The overall aim is to implement a management plan for the area which will deliver benefits for people and wildlife. The objectives are:

1. Strengthen and improve the public access links between the park and woodland and, those through routes through the woodland. These are, in the main, permissive routes. Any works carried out to Public Rights of way will be for the purpose of upgrading the facility and not maintenance.

2. Manage the woodland to enhance its value for biodiversity by removing non-native species (sycamore, laurel and rhododendron) and replanting with appropriate native understorey shrubs.

3. Erect bat and bird boxes across the woodland and park.
