Beautifying Bernie Spain Gardens

Situated just off the busy South Bank, close to popular attractions such as Tate Modern and the London Eye, Bernie Spain Gardens receives a tremendous amount of footfall. As a precious green oasis for local residents, office workers and tourists we aim to refresh the park with a renewed planting scheme aimed at maximizing seasonal interest and habitat creation and brightening what is an incredibly well loved local amenity. Our plans include maximising opportunities for habitat creation and maintenance throughout the park with a habitat zone developed to build on existing volunteer activity to create and manage raised beds in the park and education work to engage the community in building and maintaining habitats with associated work to allow local people to build mini-habitats in their own garden or balcony.
