Bechstein’s & Barbastelle bat conservation and monitoring at Midger Woods and Chedworth Nature Reserves

Purchase and erection of woodcrete bat boxes at two ancient woodland nature reserves in Gloucestershire. Programme of surveying and monitoring at these reserves for the presence of two BAP priority bat species (Bechstein’s and Barbastelle) in partnership with the Gloucestershire Bat Group. The work will help to confirm existing knowledge of distribution and to identify new locations where Bechstein’s and Barbastelle bats occur. All data collected will be submited to Gloucestershire Centre for Environmental Records. One educational public awareness raising event will be held at each site.
