Bee Inspired

Bee Inspired focuses on bees’ and other pollinators on the Sefton Coast, by delivering an inspiring, high profile and impactful programme of habitat improvements, community engagement and research. Working with a wide range of partners, the project will proactively promote the conservation of pollinators and and their associated habitats throughout the Sefton Coast. Key to the project will be: Habitat management and improvement - removal of non-native / invasive species (principally Japanese Rose and Sea Buckthorn) Access improvements Identification of priority "pollinator areas" and "priority pollinators" Community engagement - creating "bee features" and interpretation with schools / voluntary groups in publicly accessible Project locations
